DAREN News, are articles and information about the Digital Amateur Radio "Emergency" Network of WV, which operates on 145.69 MHz. Anyone having any information about DAREN, or Amateur Radio in general, and would like to share it with others, may send it to WA8LLM @ PKBGWV on 145.69 MHz, or to my E-Mail: wa8llm@yahoo.com. A State Wide DAREN NET is operated every Saturday from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and lately, before and after those hours. The DAREN Net Announcement, showing the MAIN NCS, ALTERNATE NCS, NODEs accessible to both, and the previous week's check-ins, are posted by Thursday on most of the Main county DAREN PBBS'. The DAREN News can also be found on the www.wc8ec.com and www.wc8ec.org websites.

We'll conclude the last part of the information about the American Legion Nelson County Post 42 WinLink Net from Matt Gregg, WV8MAT. You are encouraged to add any additional information to your check in message below the required message content. No additional points are awarded for these Soap Box Comments. However, these comments will add to the value of the net and promote your group/operating conditions etc. Weekly Reports will be published as soon as possible following closure of a weekly net. It is hoped that the report will be out before the next net begins, but that is the best case. Monthly Reports will be published following closure of the last net of the month and before the end of the following month. Net report summaries will be reported in a Winlink message. Due to their size, the complete net report will be published to the net groups.io page only. Yet, another good reason to join the group. Net Reminders will be issued each Monday via Winlink Message, Groups.io page and various Facebook Group pages. Reminders will be simple plain text messages issuing a call for check-in and the Preferred Template to use. There were 30 check-ins to the State Wide DAREN Net this week. Madison Sweitzer, KB3URT, who has been participating in the net since October 2, 2010, has completed 400 check-ins, and will be receiving his certificate as soon as I get ink cartages for my printer. And, Randall McGill, N7WWA, needs only one more check-in to make 100.
