SUBJECT: MANHOLE DANGER
Have you ever noticed kids playing in the flooded street during or after heavy rainfall? They sure have lots of fun. Or, did you ever walk through ankle deep water to get to a disaster scene. Do you realize that you and those kids may have been in grave danger?
During the same flood that brought about a bulletin on the storage of gasoline, the flooding came so quickly that it overburdened the storm drains. Well, that's not unusual for any location? It's not unusual to see the streets flooding in any area. But, did you know that water hit a few areas so quick, and with such force, that it lifted manhole covers from their resting place. Can you imagine, walking through ankle deep water with an open manhole somewhere about.
Be very cautious if you have to walk through water to get to safety. You could step into real deep water through that open manhole.
