WOOD COUNTY ARES BULLETIN NR 18.36        DATE: September 9, 2018
SUBJECT: TRIPLE CHECK YOUR EQUIPMENT

A lesson learned a few years ago should be a reminder to everyone.  After working for two days getting all of the equipment together for a Packet Radio Class, I still forgot something.  I had all the Radios, Computers, Terminal NODE Controllers, associated cables, overhead projector, and other equipment needed to teach the class, but I forgot a very important item.  I didn't have the overhead slides for the presentation.

I did however have the paper copies which I had used to make the overhead slides, so we were able to make copies of them to do the presentation, which was passed out to the students.  It worked, but not near as well as the overhead presentation.

It did bring up an idea to have good hard copies of the overhead slides, so the students would be able to make reference to, after the class is over.  Just be sure that when you think you're got everything ready for a project, check, double check, then triple check what you need.  It's a good thing to have is a check-off list that you can use as a reference.

Then when you think you are ready, triple check your equipment again.
