WOOD COUNTY ARES BULLETIN NR 18.02 DATE: January 14, 2018
SUBJECT: MORE THAN JUST EQUIPMENT
During emergencies and disasters it takes more than equipment to help. You may have all kinds of equipment that's available to help, but do you know how to use it? It takes training on the equipment to be sure that it's used properly. If it's not used properly it may get damaged, and then be of no use to anyone.
Take the time and learn how to use whatever equipment that may be available. If you have the equipment to use, but don't know the way to use it, find someone who does know how. During a disaster or emergency is NOT the time to learn. If you have equipment that you are experienced with, find out if anyone else would like to learn, and teach them.
Learn how to use as much equipment as possible. You may be the only one in an emergency or disaster that knows how to use it.
