FROM: KEN HARRIS WA8LLM ARRL DISTRICT 3 EMERGENCY COORDINATOR
WOOD COUNTY EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS INC.
WOOD COUNTY ARES BULLETIN NR 17.29 DATE: July 16, 2017
SUBJECT: WHY HAVE ARES BULLETINS
The main objective in writing bulletins for our local Amateurs and emergency communicators is to aid in training and/or relay valuable information to those volunteers. Many of these bulletins contain information which could be used day to day, while some may only pertain to emergency operation or disaster relief.
You may find one certain bulletin of no use to you, while another Amateur may find that same bulletin valuable to his or her station or operation. In any case, if an Amateur learns one thing from these bulletins, it has served it's purpose.
WCEC is always open to input from anyone who might have an idea about any subject that may help others. If you have an idea for a bulletin, and want to write about it let me. If you don't want to write the article, at least let me know about the subject, and we'll try to put a bulletin together.
If you write the bulletin or, have an idea for a bulletin you'll be sure to receive recognition for your information and/or writings. We can all benefit from these weekly ARES bulletins. The benefits might make us better communicators and better Amateur Radio operators. This is why we produce the weekly Wood County and ARES Bulletins. All of these bulletins can be found on the WCEC Website: www.wc8ec.org let’s hear from you.
