WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 17.02          DATE: January 8, 2017
SUBJECT: WHAT ARE WOOD COUNTY ARES BULLETINS?

Wood County ARES Bulletins are written each week to pass along information and ideas of operating communications and equipment for many activities.  These activities can be Foot Walks and Races, Bicycles Races, Disaster Drills and actual emergencies. The information doesn't always pertain to communications, it might be about any other subject that will make life a little bit easier and safer.

Now that we have started a new year, we need to start looking for ideas for bulletins and/or just any subjects to write about.  If you are interested in listening to these weekly bulletins and know that others do to, then you can help us to write them.  You don't really have to write the bulletin, just give us ideas of what to write about, we will do the research.  These bulletins are not restricted to Wood County ARES only, they can be used by any organization that wishes to use them.  Some bulletins are reused from time-to-time.

If you have an idea for a bulletin, you can contact any member of Wood County Emergency Communications Inc., and pass along the idea.  If you want to write the bulletin, you will be given credit for it.  Even if you just have an idea for a bulletin, you'll be given credit for that too.  In any case please give us your ideas so we can continue to furnish bulletins for all to enjoy.

These bulletins can be found on the www.wc8ec.org website.  The bulletins on the website are updated about once a month.  They can also be found weekly on the DAREN Packet Radio PBBS of PKBGWV on 145.69 MHz.
