WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 16.40          DATE: October 2, 2016
SUBJECT: REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE!

Things have occurred in the past which has caused confusion and dismay for many.  Some organizations that have depended on us for important information and/or communications have been left hanging.  No matter what agency name we functioned under before, most of us still share one thing common, and that being Amateur Radio operators.

There are still many agencies that need our assistance.  Whether it be through Wood County Emergency Communications Inc. (WCEC), Wood County Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES), the Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES), or just a "Group of Amateur Radio Enthusiasts" who want to help our communities. Most of those agencies that depended on our communications in the past are still out there, and need our help.

Let's not forget who we are, or what our communications capabilities are.  Just because most of us are Amateur Radio operators, doesn't mean that we can't operate Citizens Band Radios, Public Safety Radios, Commercial Radios, or put telephone systems together.  We were there to serve our communities before, and were rarely recognized for it.  So why should we expect more now.  Remember who we are!  Communications Experts!  We need to keep training and prove to ourselves, and the agencies we still serve, that we can still provide them with what we are good at, Communications.
