WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 16.22            DATE: May 29, 2016
SUBJECT: THINK BEFORE YOU GO

If there were some kind of disaster or major emergency and you were requested to help, make sure you are ready.  Since the event has already happened, you should have a short period of time before you get there.  Make sure you have everything you think your might need.

If you arrive at the event and you don't have what you need, then you won't be of much help.  Take a little bit of time and think what you might need.  If you are going to provide back-up and overload communications, be sure you have enough communications equipment to do the job.  If you going to provide some other type of assistance, take some time and make sure you have what you think you will need.

It doesn't hurt to have more than what you need.  You might be able to provide something that someone has forgot to bring.  Just take a little time and plan on what you want to take.  The time you take to prepare will be well worth it.  The incident has already happened, you are going there to help smooth things out.
