WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 15.24          DATE: June 14, 2015
SUBJECT: HAVE IT JUST IN CASE

It seems that with every event that you're involved with, there is something that you are short of.  If you've been doing the same type of event for any length of time you'll know what type of material or equipment that you should have.  If you have been notified in plenty of time of the event, then start making a list of material and equipment that you may need.  You may not need it, but it is better to have it, and not need it, then to need it, and not have it.

In the case of emergencies, you may not have time to get what you may need.  If you don't have what you may need readily available, the only thing you can do is run around putting together what you think you may need.  Most of the time you'll find that you are missing something.  There's no way of knowing what you may need, the only thing you can do is try to have all your material or equipment in a location that you can just pick up and go with.

Go-Bags are great for most events, but there will be times when larger pieces of equipment are needed.  Most emergencies won't require larger material or equipment, and a Go-Bag will do just fine.  But, if it is a planned event, it may require items such as canopies, tables, chairs, or public address systems.  In that case you should have plenty of time to have them ready, and take them with you.  You may not need them, but on the other hand you may.
