SUBJECT: WHAT CAN YOU LEARN IN ONE DAY?

There have been a few people that have said that you can't learn everything in one day that you need to be an Amateur Radio operator.  What you learn in one day is enough to get an Amateur Radio License.  After 50 years as an Amateur Radio operator, I still don't know everything about Amateur Radio.  There are so many facets and modes of communications, that you would not be able to do them in a life time.

Taking a one day radio class will give you the basic information that is needed to pass the FCC Exam.  After you receive your license, you will have the rest of your life to learn what Amateur Radio is all about.

Back when it was a requirement to learn Morse Code to get your first radio license, a lot of people, that may have been good radio operators, didn't get their Amateur Radio license because they weren't interested in Morse Code, and didn't want to learn it.  Now that Morse Code is no longer required, a lot of people are getting their licenses.  They are finding the type of communications they are interested in, and working to improve their communication skills.

So when you hear someone say that you can't learn in a one day class what you need to be an Amateur Radio operator, just tell them that you are learning enough to get a license.  There are other classes that can help you be a good Amateur Radio operator.
