WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 13.44 DATE: November 3, 2013 SUBJECT: USE OF ZIPLOCK BAGS

How many times have you had to clean out you emergency jump kit, or tool bag, and had to untangle all of the wires, ropes and other loose items. There's a simple way to organize your equipment to make it easier to find.

Ziplock type plastic bags come in several sizes from snack bags to gallon and maybe larger. You can store all kinds of equipment and it will keep them clean and not let everything get tangled with everything else.

Depending on what you are trying to keep from getting tangled is what size bag you need. Snack bags can be used to store small items such as screws. Sandwich size bags will allow you to store batteries. And, the one gallon bag will hold will keep long pieces of coax from getting tangled.

The next time you clean up your tool kit, or jump kit, think about placing everything in Ziplock Bags to keep it organized. Also keep a few spare bags in case you need them if you have to transport something that may have got wet.
