WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 12.51 DATE: December 23, 2012
SUBJECT: SNOW COMES QUICKLY.
Snow! That’s a nasty word, but we need to prepare ourselves for the inevitable. Just because the end of the year is coming doesn't mean that winter is over. Winter hasn't even had a good start. As emergency communication volunteers, we should be able to respond to whatever event that we are requested to, even when weather conditions are bad.
A vehicle, serviced, fueled, and ready for winter is a must. Also, equipment necessary to enable you to respond when road conditions are close to impassable should be considered. Tire chains are sometimes a must, and should be ready when you need them.
In previous bulletins it was stated, "Be prepared for winter", meaning clothing, boots, vehicles, and equipment. Let's be prepared when the snow comes again this winter.
