WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 12.16           DATE: April 15, 2012
SUBJECT: GET IT FOR DOLLAR

They may be cheap, but a lot of the things you buy for a dollar or two are just as good as the expensive items.  What I'm talking about is items that you can put in your emergency go kit or jump bag.

You can buy flashlights, batteries, campfire liters, and a whole lot more.  Most of the items you put in your go kit or jump bag isn't going to be used very often, so don't waste money buying the expensive items that may sit for long periods of time. Some things like batteries may have a shelf life and should be exchanged from time-to-time and used for other events.

Flashlights, First Aid Kits, rope, knives, and other cheap tools will last a long time in your go kit or jump bag, and may be almost as good as the more expensive tools.

So when you start packing you go kit or jump bag, go around to the dollar stores and see what they have.  You will be surprised of the ideas that you can come up with, and get ready for your next emergency incident.
