WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 11.35              DATE: August 28, 2011
SUBJECT: DON'T RESTRICT ITS USES

When putting together equipment for a project, event, a disaster, or any other activity, tries to build it so it can be used for other activities.  For example, if you are building a power cable that will only be once or twice a year, and only needs to be 30 feet long to reach whatever you're going to use it for, make it 50 feet long.  If the cord only needs to have one outlet, put on four outlets.

By making the cord only 30 foot long restricts it from being used for other events or activities which could use a 50 foot cord.  Even though the project you are working on needs only one outlet, the same cord could be used for another event or activity that may need three or four outlets.

This has to do with anything you are building or putting together.  If you do more then you need, then whatever you're working with, may be used for other things.  Instead of having two or three of something that is almost alike, you might be able to save time and money by adding to your original project.

Don't restrict its uses by using only what you need.
