WOOD COUNTY BULLETIN NR 11.34              DATE: August 21, 2011
SUBJECT: CHEAP COLOR COPIER

How many times have you been to an activity such as Foot Races, Regattas, or other events such as a disaster scene, and you would like to have a copy of a route map, list of equipment, or other information the event coordinator or Incident Commander has?

Now it's possible to have a inexpensive copier that not only does black and white, it also does color.  Hewlett-Packard and maybe other computer manufactures, have developed a device that is not only a printer, it's also a scanner, and a copier.  The piece of equipment that I'm talking about is the Hewlett-Packard PSC (Printer/Scanner/Copier).  The PSC is made to operate from your computer, but it can be used as a Stand-Alone copier.  Most of the PSCs doesn't have to be connected to any computer to be used as a copy machine.

All you need is a place to connect it to an electrical outlet. The price of the PSC is cheap enough, and light enough to be taken to any event where copies of maps, race instructions, or other important copies or documents can be made.  You can find used PSCs at yard sales for a little as five or ten dollars.  Getting the ink is more expensive than a used PSC.

This is one piece of equipment that is must at a disaster scene.
