SUBJECT: GET IDEAS FROM OTHERS
Whenever you're able to attend an activity, whether it's a social event, a Disaster or Emergency Drill, or an Actual Emergency or Disaster, see if you can learn from what they are doing. Maybe you can learn a new procedure for operating your equipment, participating in an event, sitting up an event or equipment another way, or when operating your own event.
Watch how others hold their activity, and look for things are good that makes their event a success. Also look for the bad things that may be causing problems, so you don't repeat their mistakes.
When holding your activity, or event, use the good ideas that you observed from others, and try to improve on them. If you observed something that didn't go well at another event, found out what they were trying to do. You might be able to make it work, or improve on it by doing it another way.
Once you've made your activity a success, look back over the event to see how it can improved. If you see something that didn't work very well, don't get a rut and make the same mistakes twice. If something looked and worked great, be careful not to make changes that don’t improve the event.
