SUBJECT: USE A CHECK OFF LIST

Anytime that you're going to participate in an activity or event you should start a check off list, or have one available. Long before any event, you should make a list of all the equipment that you have available.  You may not need everything that's on the equipment list, but it may jog your memory of something that you may need, and just forgot about.  When you start planning for an event, sit down with your equipment list and write down what you think you'll need for the activity or event.  Use your equipment list as a guide.  After you have made a list of equipment you think you'll need for the activity or event, then start checking it off as you get it loaded up.  I was always told that the shorted pencil is longer than the longest memory.  I just wish I would remember it all the time.  I wouldn't keep forgetting to take something with me.
