I know you've heard the saving that practice makes perfect. I know that it's true. The more you do something the better you get at it. I know that Field Day is over, but it will be coming again in about eleven months, but what happens if a major emergency or disaster comes first, will we be ready? While putting together the Field Day report, I saw a lot of things that I could have done better, if I would have thought about them before this Field Day. I'm already working on some equipment that we'll use for next year's Field Day, and other activities before then. Once the equipment is ready, we need to practice with it several times, so that when we need it, we will feel comfortable setting it up and operating with it. If you had problems with something this past Field Day start practicing with it now so that you will be ready when you need it. Field Day may be eleven months away, but a major emergency or disaster may be tomorrow, and your communication experience may be needed. So think about what didn't work well in the past, and make it work better in the future. Just practice, practice, practice.
