SUBJECT: FIRST HAND IS USUALLY THE BEST
Getting information first hand is usually the best. I was going to say that it's always the best, but that's not quite true. There's a better chance of getting something wrong if it's second or third hand. If you're receiving the information, try to relay it exactly as it was received, and not try to correct something that might not be wrong. It seems that every time information gets relayed there's a chance that it might get changed just a little. If the information is relayed enough times it won't be in any ways near the way it started. If the information is written down, be sure to pass it on just as it is written. One of the times that it's not best to get something first hand is when you're the one who is at ground zero of a disaster, such as an explosion.
